The University of Calgary's Section of General Surgery.
Our general surgery team serves patients across four major hospital sites in Calgary Alberta, with nearly 50 surgeons working together to provide safe, high-quality surgical care. We diagnose, treat, and care for patients with issues affecting many parts of the body, often working closely with other specialties to ensure best outcomes. Our surgeons and support staff work collaboratively every day to ensure patients receive skilled, compassionate, and individualized care.
General surgeons carry out a wide range of surgeries, with many members having specialist training in one or more of the following:
